The kidneys are the lifeline to your health. It's has been said time, and time again, that patients don't die from a diagnosed disease, instead they pass away from the complications of the disease, and 9 out of 10 times that complication is kidney failure.
Kidney problems are
huge right now because of the standard American diet, and 98% of the people eating it are unaware that their kidneys are suffering. I can honestly say that every single client that I have worked with since opening my detoxification clinic has had kidney problems.
The problem with this math is that most kidney tests are not accurate enough to inform patients when there kidneys are malfunctioning, and most doctors are not educated enough to spot problems early on, or simply are not reading the tests correctly.
Kidney dialysis is not the answer to curing kidney disease, just like chemotherapy is not the answer to curing cancer. Any dialysis lab will tell you that kidney dialysis will not cure kidney problems. Dialysis does some of the work of healthy kidneys, but it does not cure your kidney disease. The truth is that you will need to have dialysis treatments, four hours a day, three times a week for the rest of your life, unless you are able to get a kidney transplant.
Once renal replacement therapy is initiated, the range of the expected remaining life span is approximately 8 years. Kidney dialysis is so terminal that Medicare has a program (ESRD) which will approve and pay for 93% of dialysis cases, even if the patient is not 65 years of age or older.
The best time to take care of your kidneys is NOW, before you ever have the need to see a doctor. This message becomes even more urgent if you have, or have had family members with kidney issues, because weak kidneys run in the family.
KIDNEY SIGNS THAT SHOULD NEVER BE IGNORED:
Lower back pain that can not be attributed to an accident. Seventy-five percent of lower back pain has nothing to do with your back, or your spine and everything to do with your kidneys crying out for help. Groin pain, painful urination, middle of the night urination, foam in the urine, dark smelly urine or sparkling urine are all warning signs that your kidneys are in trouble. Some of the late stage warning signs are brown urine, which indicates that your passing blood, having the urge to go but there is only a trickle, and leg, facial and /or hand swelling, which is indicative of the kidneys not filtering properly and the body holding onto it's last water reserves which can lead to edema and high blood pressure.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT DESTROY YOUR KIDNEYS ARE:
Mainstream medicines like acetaminophen, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, NSAIDs and aspirin are one of the main reasons for kidney failure. Dehydration is also another huge kidney killer. As we get older we loose most of our sense of thirst, so it's very important to drink water even when your not thirsty. The next big kidney destroyer is animal protein. All forms of animal protein contain large amounts of uric acid. When the kidneys can not filter the uric acid fast enough, the body will leach calcium out of the bones in order to buffer the acid and you will end up urinating calcium for three to four hours after a high protein meal. The kidneys can only handle about 30 Grams of protein a day. The average American is consuming well over that.
Other things that harm the kidneys are over-eating, , processed foods, antacid, synthetic vitamins, antibiotics, beer, soda, sugar, caffeine, energy drinks, holding your urine and soy products. Carbonated water and soda will also keep the kidneys in a constant state of shock and the molecules in these drinks are far too large for the kidneys to process.
DOING RIGHT BY YOUR KIDNEYS:
Make sure to always drink plenty of spring water throughout the day. Adding 1/4 tsp a day of pink Himalayan salt to your water will also help your kidney retain water better and help your adrenals to function better.
Nettle leaf is a wonderful herb for the kidneys and strengthen the kidney blood vessels and tubules. Nettle leaf also dissolves both uric acid and calcium oxalate stones, supports the adrenals, liver, thyroid, intestines, nervous system, and helps to control inflammation and allergic responses.
Corn Silk tea is a time tested method of combating bladder and urinary tract infections. It helps with water retention, edema ,kidney infection and kidney stone treatment.
Fresh watermelon juice, as well as radish juice are great natural remedies to help heal the kidneys. Watermelon juice is best drank fresh, and even the ground up seeds have health benefits for the kidneys. Radishes can be juiced along with apples and cucumbers for a tasty, healthy kidney treat.
HEALING THE KIDNEYS:
Besides the herbs and juices mentioned above, some other ways to heal the kidneys is by adding magnesium into your diet. Kidney disease requires magnesium and it also helps to keep kidney stones at bay. Chanka piedra as well as "Kidney stuff" have both been proven to promote healthier kidneys. Recent research also shows that consuming 1tsp of baking soda in 8oz of water daily will keep you away from the dialysis chair. I also recommend that my clients search out a good Chiropractor and see them at least once a month. A chiropractor can help alien your back so that the energy that your kidneys need can be properly supplied.
Of all the things that you can do for your kidneys, the most important is investing in a healthier lifestyle with the correct diet changes. Restrict your sugar intake, cut down on processed foods, avoid all carbonated drinks and avoid animal protein if at all possible. I can assure you that if you treat your kidneys with kindness, they will serve you well in return. You do not have to be limited by your kidney pain, lose a kidney or submit to kidney dialysis. Kidney disease is 100% reversible. I know this to be true, because five years ago I was sentenced to the dialysis chair, I avoid it, and with some simple life changes you can too.

Kidney and bladder issues unlike other organs do not cause pain until they have lost between 80-85% of their function. Kidney dialysis, however, is normally not suggested until kidney function drops below 15%. This only leaves the patient a 5% window in order to act and try to save kidney function.
The problem with this math is that most kidney tests are not accurate enough to inform patients when there kidneys are malfunctioning, and most doctors are not educated enough to spot problems early on, or simply are not reading the tests correctly.
